Recently a video where Dalai Lama is seen asking a boy to suck his tongue is going viral. In the widely shared video, has received a lot of criticism. His followers has defended him saying his intentions misinterpreted are innocent and affectionate. Whereas people on internet has been beyond outraged and critised him called him for doing such activity with a child especially. However, the spiritual leader took Twitter account to account for the controversy. He stated on a tweet and apologises and is reflecting on his acts.
The leader’s apology most likely reflects his understanding that his acts may have been misconstrued or misunderstood. Also, that they may have harmed the kid, the child’s family, and his followers without his knowledge. Who is Dalai Lama?
His Holiness The Dalai Lama is the 14th incarnation of Tibet’s respected spiritual leader. He was born into a simple family on July 6, 1935, in Taktser. Similarly, his early years were spent in an isolated village. Where, despite the difficulties brought on by the area’s unpredictable weather, his family made a livelihood through farming.
His Holiness had six brothers when he was young. However, China invaded Tibet in 1950, which eventually resulted in its annexation and the exile of the Dalai Lama and thousands of other Tibetans in 1959.

He has travelled the globe, meeting with world leaders, addressing international gatherings, and spreading awareness of the suffering Tibetans endure under Chinese control. The exiled Central Tibetan Administration’s Sikyong, Penpa Tsering, said that the Dalai Lama had been wrongfully called harsh terms by his followers.
