The event took place at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Godawari, Lalitpur. Priyanka Rani Joshi, Miss Nepal World 2022, handed off her crown at the occasion. The newly announced winner of 2023 received the crown. Similarly, the organizers crowned Sareesha Shrestha, who held the title of Miss Nepal Earth 2022, as the new Miss Nepal Earth 2023. Miss Nepal History

This event contest has always assigned its winner to represent Nepal. The winner represents our nation in the Miss Asia Pacific competition since its debut in 1994. However, in 1997, Hidden Treasures and the Kathmandu Jaycees formed two independent pageants: Kathmandu Jaycees Miss Nepal and Hidden Treasures Miss World Nepal. Miss Nepal’s winner began competing in the Miss World pageant in 1998. Meanwhile, the first runner-up represented our nation in the Miss Asia Pacific pageant. The royal massacre in Nepal resulted in the cancellation of the contest in 2001.

The second runner-up began representing Nepal in the Miss Earth pageant in 2004. However, the following year, the first runner-up took over due to the cancellation of Miss Asia Pacific participation. The second runner-up began competing in the Miss International contest in 2010. Similarly, the organizers have been releasing the names of the third and fourth runners-up alongside the winners on Coronation Night since 2011. Furthermore, Hidden Treasure purchased the Miss Universe franchise in 2017 and crowned Nagma Shrestha the inaugural Miss Universe Nepal 2017. Since 2018, all four champions have maintained equal rankings with no runner-ups.

Similarly, Hidden Treasures made various modifications and statements about the 2020 event contest. They broadcasted the event live that year. The statement also announced that the Miss Universe franchise will no longer be with Hidden Treasure, resulting in only four winners that year. The organizers have increased the reward money for each of the four winners from NPR 100,000 to NPR 250,000.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers postponed the 2020 event contest. Mr. Driwakar Rajkarnikar, Chairman of Hidden Treasure, announced that further details would be provided on April 30, 2020.

Task & Requirements

Miss Nepal has been an annual event since 1994, with ladies between the ages of 19 and 24 competing. Every year, the organizers carefully select 25 contestants from a large pool of applicants to participate in a month-long training and grooming course leading up to the final event. During this training time, participants participate in a variety of activities such as attending lectures, doing social work, taking part in photoshoots, going through interviews, and learning about etiquette.

Now talking about the coronation night, which usually lasts roughly three hours, shows all of the nominees’ abilities. It begins with an introduction sequence in which they make their first appearances, followed by introductory speeches.
